The Manhattan Christadelphians are part of the worldwide Christadelphian organization. We have approximately 20 members and meet in a rented room at the McBurney YMCA on 14th Street. We are a diverse group, united by a common faith and hope. We are bible students, reading and studying the bible for ourselves, together and at home, in order to know God better and learn His plan and purpose for us.

The name Christadelphian (pronounced Christ-a-del-fian) means ‘brothers in Christ’. As a community we have been around since the mid-1800s. We are ordinary people with a shared faith who base our beliefs wholly on the bible, regarding it as fully inspired by God. We pattern ourselves on the first century Christians meeting in homes, rented rooms, and in some cases, our own halls.

Members of each congregation all have a joint responsibility for the welfare of the church and use our individual talents in service to the congregation. Membership involves a process of study, conviction and belief in our common faith and hope, and being baptized.
