"Every good and perfect gift is from above,
coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights,
who does not change like shifting shadows."
James 1:17 (NIV)
The Manhattan Christadelphians have been meeting in New York City for over 50 years. We are a small but lively group of bible students who try to base our lives on God’s word and the teachings of Jesus. Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds, and span several age groups. We belong to a worldwide organization called The Christadelphians (brothers in Christ).
Simply put, we believe that there is a God, he had a son Jesus Christ who was a man. Our only authority is the bible and we have no other basis for our belief. Our hope is in the Kingdom of God being established on earth and sin and death being done away with forever. Read more about our beliefs here.
We meet weekly on Sundays to remember Jesus’ sacrifice and the impact of that on how we live our lives. We call this our “Memorial Meeting”. After this we usually have a bible class where the focus is on studying and discussing the Word of God and how it applies to us today. Often we meet during the week to encourage each other and refocus our minds. We also have social events and get-togethers with other local Christadelphian groups that meet in the New York area.
Visitors are welcome to our Sunday services as well as our other events. Find out what to expect when you visit.
“... Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
Psalm 23: 5-6
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
